Watch crushing moment Jeremy Clarkson’s farm is locked down in new clip
The crushing moment when Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire was locked down is shown in the new trailer for Clarkson’s Farm series five.
The new trailer for the fifth series of the Prime Video documentary was released yesterday (Monday, May 18) across social media.
Spanning over two minutes, the clip gives fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming season, which releases on Wednesday, June 3.
Amongst the various shots included in the trailer is the moment when Diddly Squat was locked down due to a bovine TB outbreak last August.
At the time, Mr Clarkson wrote on X: “Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated.”
He then added later on in the afternoon: “I should clear this up, really. It’s Bovine TB that we have. It doesn’t affect people, just our poor cows.”
The farm officially became TB-free in March of this year, following the initial imposed lockdown at Diddly Squat.
In the new trailer, Mr Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper can be seen outside, receiving the news from an inspector that the farm would be locked down.
The man in the clip tells the pair: “I’ve got bad news, I’m putting the whole farm under restrictions. The ministry will get in touch with you and talk through what you can and can’t do.”
Mr Clarkson and Mr Cooper can be seen reacting to the news, with both being visibly disappointed by the bombshell decision.
Series five of Clarkson’s Farm releases next month with eight new episodes dropping on Prime Video throughout June.
These episodes will come out weekly on Wednesdays, starting with June 3, before more come out on June 10 and June 17.
It is expected that the farm’s bovine TB outbreak and subsequent lockdown of the farm will be covered in depth in the new season.
