TV stars from Clarkson’s Farm and Escape to the Country announced for Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate

 

A host of TV stars have been unveiled for this year’s Great Yorkshire Show where they will take to the stage for daily chat shows and meet visitors.
Kelvin Fletcher and Liz Fletcher, of Fletchers on the Farm, will appear on Tuesday, while Peter Wright of The Yorkshire Vet will appear on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Jules Hudson of Escape to the Country will appear, followed on Friday by Harriet Cowan, who featured in Clarkson’s Farm.

The Ariat GYS Stage will be hosted by TV Presenter Christine Talbot with chat shows running twice a day at noon and 3pm, followed by meet and greets with the celebrities.

There will also be two fashion shows a day on the stage at 11am and 2pm, featuring leading Yorkshire and UK clothing and footwear brands.

 

This will be the first time former Emmerdale star Kelvin and wife Liz have featured on the Ariat GYS Stage, although the couple have filmed and visited the Show regularly for many years.

They said: “We are lifelong fans of the Great Yorkshire Show and can’t wait to return again this year.

“We are looking forward to taking to the Ariat GYS Stage for the first time to share our story of running a family farm as captured on TV.”

Peter Wright is back on stage by popular demand on Wednesday of the show and has been visiting with wife Lin for well over 30 years.

His return to the Ariat GYS tage will include an insight into his recent filming with The Yorkshire Vet in India.

Peter said: “The Great Yorkshire Show celebrates everything that the countryside has to offer from the very best livestock in the country, the best food and much, much more.

“There is something for everyone but don’t just take my word for it, come and join me and see for yourself at the 167th Great Yorkshire Show.”

Jules Hudson will be on the Ariat GYS Stage on Thursday for the first time, although he is a regular to the show.

He said: “Over many years now, I’ve enjoyed the rare privilege of hosting Today at the Great Yorkshire Show for Channel 5.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to know that I’ll be back in 2026 on the main stage celebrating not just this year’s show, but also 30 years in broadcasting, as well as the launch of my new book ‘Wild at Heart, my journey to a country life’.
“Having the chance to look back on a career immersed in rural affairs whilst in the heart of what must be the finest show ground in the country is huge treat, and one which I hope many will be able to come and share.

“In my experience, a day at the Great Yorkshire Show is a day spent in finest of company, catching up with old friends and making many new ones – I can’t wait.”

Also on the Ariat GYS Stage for the first time is Harriet Cowan who’s featured in Season 4 of Clarkson’s Farm.

Harriet has a rapidly growing social media following as a farmer and community nurse from Derbyshire and is a strong advocate for mental health in farming.

Harriet said: “The Great Yorkshire Show is always such a fun day out, and I’m so excited to be returning again this year.”

They will also be selling a limited edition Great Yorkshire Show Gin and Rum only sold at the show.

The 167th Great Yorkshire Show will return from Tuesday 14 till Friday 17 July.

The show attracts 140,000 visitors and has sold out before the event every year since tickets went to advance sales only in 2021.
