Jeremy Clarkson Discusses Clarkson’s Farm’s Future Amid Fears of Cancellation
Jeremy Clarkson Addresses Clarkson’s Farm Future Amid Growing Cancellation Concerns
Jeremy Clarkson has opened up about the future of Clarkson’s Farm, following reports that the show may face cancellation fears.
Since purchasing 1,000 acres in Chadlington, Oxfordshire, in 2008, Clarkson’s farming journey has turned into a major success, with the Clarkson’s Farm series quickly becoming a fan favorite. The show has amassed millions of viewers worldwide and has seen four highly popular seasons so far.
A fifth season, with eight new episodes filmed in the Cotswolds, is expected to be released later this year. However, recent reports have raised concerns about the show’s future, with Clarkson addressing these fears in an interview with The Sun.
In response to speculation about the series coming to an end after season five, Clarkson stated: “We’ll definitely do six – Amazon want to (do series six) and I want to. I’ve got a good idea for six. I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six, and then we’ll see…”
The 65-year-old also hinted that there could be a potential seventh series in the works, confirming that he would continue filming as long as he still had ideas to explore.
Clarkson elaborated further on the break between series, saying: “We’ve never had a rest, we wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn’t stop. You harvest, and you immediately start drilling for the next year. But this time, Kaleb’s gone off to Australia, he’s filming down there at the moment, I was doing Millionaire Hot Seat, and I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven’t had one in ages. So we just said ok well, let’s just actually wrap it… and then, I just said: ‘If it snows, we’ll start filming again.’”
