Tony Beets Beats Parker Schnabel in Gold Rush Season 16 Finale
Gold Rush Season 16 Finale Recap: Klondike Shootout Ends With Tony Beets on Top
Parker Schnabel Pushes Past 10,000 Ounces
The finale opens with Parker Schnabel and Tony Beets comparing season totals, setting up the episode’s main storyline: who will finish the year as the top miner.
Parker’s final push hits trouble when Big Red’s shaker deck shuts down because of an electrical issue. Tyson rushes to Parker, and a replacement part is flown in to get the plant running again.
After final cleanups from Roxanne, Bob, Golden Goose, and Big Red, Parker adds 506 ounces, bringing his season total to 10,596.45 ounces.

Tony Beets Delivers the Winning Total
Tony’s operation faces its own problems as he moves Sluicelot to the Early Bird cut. A rock truck tips over, the trommel’s distributor clogs with rocks, and the motor later burns out.
Even with those setbacks, Tony’s final cleanup from Findlot, Sluicelot, Harold, and the trommel delivers a huge result.
Tony finishes the season with 11,231 ounces, beating Parker and closing the finale with the biggest total of the year.
Kevin Beets Falls Short but Stays Alive
Kevin Beets appears late in the finale, and his final run quickly turns chaotic. After increasing the speed on his wash plant, a fuel line issue causes the water pump to catch fire.
Kevin and Faith scramble for a replacement pump, but the final numbers are not enough to hit the target viewers had been told he needed.
His final cleanup brings in 376.16 ounces, ending his season at 1,591 ounces.
Rick Ness Finds a Late Save at Last Chance Cut
Rick Ness tries to finish at Lightning Creek, but another water pump problem forces him to walk away from that site again.
Back at the Last Chance Cut, the night shift battles clogged rocks and a stuck feed conveyor. Rick gets the plant moving again, and the final cleanup delivers a strong 431.91 ounces.
That late result pushes Rick just over 1,800 ounces for the season, giving him a much-needed finish after a difficult year.
A Finale Built Around Final Totals
Klondike Shootout ultimately comes down to the scoreboard.
Parker breaks 10,000 ounces and posts one of the strongest seasons of his career. Rick rescues his goal late. Kevin survives a rough year. But Tony Beets takes the biggest win, finishing ahead of Parker with 11,231 ounces and ending Season 16 as the miner on top.
