The Derbyshire farmer and TV star is releasing her debut book this September, and a current Audible offer means some fans won’t have to pay a penny
Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan, who was propelled into the spotlight after appearing on the hit TV show, is about to launch a new book – and there’s a way to get it for free.
The Derbyshire-born star of the Amazon Prime Video series won over viewers with her farming know-how, quick wit and willingness to stand up to Clarkson during her time on the show and with series five having been launched this week, Harriet has revealed she has written her first book – Life on the Farm.
Copies will be available from September 10, priced at £24.99, with the pre-order window open now – but there’s a way to pre-order the title for free.
This is thanks to a promotion running right now from Audible, Amazon’s vast audiobook and podcast platform. Harriet’s new book is set to be one of more than 900,000 titles when it launches this year, and fans can sign up to a free trial to pre-order the audiobook.
The book will offer readers and listeners a behind-the-scenes look at life in agriculture, drawing on Cowan’s experiences growing up in a farming family and working in the industry herself.
It will also explore the challenges facing British farmers and the importance of supporting local food producers.
The 25-year-old has become one of the most recognisable young faces in British farming following her appearance on Clarkson’s Farm. Before finding television fame, she worked as a nurse while helping on the family farm, but has since focused on farming full-time.
Life on the Farm is described as a warm and honest account of modern farming, covering everything from family traditions and community life to the realities of working the land in Britain today.
The book will be published by Seven Dials and is available to pre-order now.
Aside from Harriet’s new book, Audible members also have access to the vast library of other titles, and a huge selection of podcasts.
