Clarkson and Hogan, 51, have been together since 2016 and have become a fan-favourite duo on the BAFTA-winning Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm, where Hogan plays a key role in managing Diddly Squat Farm and its shop.

The anniversary post attracted warm messages from Clarkson’s celebrity friends.

Put a ring on it. Women like this don’t come along often!” one wrote.

Lisa’s Leap Year Proposal That Jeremy “Didn’t Hear”

Last year, Hogan revealed she took advantage of February 29th—Leap Day—to “propose” to Clarkson in line with the tradition where women pop the question. But she later joked that Clarkson didn’t notice because he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids.

Referencing the moment during an episode of Clarkson’s Farm, Lisa recalled asking Jeremy if his “big surprise” was a proposal. Clarkson pretended not to hear and instead revealed a revived willow tree.

Pressed again about marriage, Jeremy replied:
“I’ll think about the proposal, OK? I’m not ready yet.”

When asked in a later interview whether she had truly proposed, Lisa told The Times:
“Jeremy doesn’t think I proposed, but he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids, so no one will know.”

A Relationship Fans Love Watching

The couple’s playful dynamic is a highlight of Clarkson’s Farm, often providing both humour and heartfelt moments.

In a recent episode, Hogan attempted a wild swim, while Clarkson—far less enthusiastic—stood on the bank urging her to leave the water so they could go to the pub instead.

“What are you doing?” Jeremy asked.
“Just loitering in cold water,” Lisa replied cheerfully.

Clarkson responded in classic fashion:
“I’ve been drunk and I’ve been in cold water—and being drunk is better.”

Eventually, he snapped:
“Let’s go to the pub. Get out! Please, hurry up.”

Their contrasting personalities—Lisa’s adventurous spirit and Jeremy’s grumpy humour—have become a defining charm of the series.

Clarkson’s Past & Their Life Together Now

The former Top Gear presenter has been married twice, to Alexandra James and Frances Cain, with whom he shares three children: Emily, Finlo, and Katya.

Since pairing up with Hogan, Clarkson has swapped London for the Cotswolds countryside, where the pair run Diddly Squat Farm together and have built a life fans adore watching unfold.

With nine years behind them and viewers pushing for a wedding, only one question remains:
Will Clarkson finally “put a ring on it”?
