Amanda Owen leaves fans gobsmacked as children branded ‘unrecognisable’ in new Ravenseat update: ‘So grown up!’
Amanda Owen Stuns Fans as Son Sydney Appears ‘Unrecognisable’ in New Ravenseat Update
Amanda Owen has surprised her followers after sharing new photos of her 13-year-old son Sydney, prompting a wave of comments from fans who struggled to recognise him.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess posted a series of images on Instagram showing Sydney and several of his siblings at work on Ravenseat Farm. Viewers who have followed the family through Our Yorkshire Farm, Life in the Dales, and the new Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door were quick to highlight just how much the teenager has grown.

“That’s never little Sid?” one follower wrote, while another added: “Is this Sid?!! I didn’t recognise him!” Others pointed out his increasing resemblance to older brothers Miles and Reuben, noting how much “more alike” the boys appear as they get older.
Some viewers were so unsure that debate broke out in the comments, with one follower insisting, “I think that is Miles myself — I can’t see Sydney with long hair.”
Despite the confusion, fans expressed affection for the 13-year-old, with one commenting: “Aww Sid is so grown up. Always had a soft spot for him.”
Owen’s Instagram post included a selfie with Sydney as well as photos of her other children tending to farm duties, continuing to give audiences a glimpse into daily life at Ravenseat — something that has captivated viewers since the family first appeared on Channel 5 in 2018.
Following Amanda and Clive’s separation in 2022, Our Yorkshire Farm came to an end, but the family returned to screens in Our Farm Next Door, documenting their renovation of a derelict cottage and their ongoing work across the farm.

In a recent October update, Amanda reflected on the challenges of farming life, writing: “Life is busy. Obstacles thrown into your path — the road is never smooth. We tackle everything head on… Always do our best and turn our hand to anything. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
Amanda continues to live and work at Ravenseat alongside ex-husband Clive Owen, maintaining a cooperative partnership as they raise their nine children and manage their demanding agricultural operations.
