Clarkson’s Festive Release Meets Criticism Over Delivery Issues

Jeremy Clarkson Faces Backlash Over £95 Hawkstone Advent Calendar Delays

Jeremy Clarkson’s £95 Hawkstone advent calendar — packed with beers, ciders and miniature spirits — has sparked frustration among customers after reports of delivery delays ahead of the Christmas season.

The calendar, created by the Clarkson’s Farm presenter and his Diddly Squat team, includes 13 beers, six ciders, mini bottles of gin and vodka, branded gifts, and a humorous “to-do list” written by Clarkson, farm manager Kaleb Cooper, and other staff. Despite high demand and quick sell-out, many buyers say they have yet to receive their orders.

Customers Report Delays Despite Early Dispatch Promises

The Hawkstone website stated that orders would be shipped from November 1, but numerous customers have taken to social media to complain that their calendars have still not arrived — raising concerns about receiving them before Advent begins on November 30.

Comments posted on Facebook include:

  • “Not received mine yet. Anyone else still waiting?” — Julie Louise
  • “It would be nice if mine arrived for advent.” — Joseph Robertson
  • “When will they be shipped? Been waiting for ages.” — Jack Snelling
  • “Said it would be this week when I ordered but still nothing has arrived.” — Kimberley Manktelow

Some customers, however, shared positive updates, including one who said they had “forgotten” about the order until it showed up unexpectedly.

High Demand and a Final Giveaway

The Hawkstone team confirmed that this year’s batch of advent calendars sold out in record time. In response, Clarkson has launched a final giveaway: a chance for one customer to win the last available calendar by spending £40 or more on the Hawkstone website before November 21.

A Hawkstone representative stated:

“You lot snapped up our Advent Calendars in record time this year.
We’ve saved one — the very last one — and now we’re giving it away.”

Hawkstone has not yet issued an official response regarding the delivery delays.

A Growing Success Story for Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson launched Hawkstone Lager in 2021, initially selling it exclusively through Diddly Squat Farm before expanding online. The brand has since become one of his fastest-growing business ventures.

Its popularity has been boosted significantly by Clarkson’s Farm, the Amazon Prime series documenting his efforts to run Diddly Squat Farm, a 1,000-acre property in Oxfordshire. The show has achieved record-breaking viewership and helped turn several of Clarkson’s local ventures — including Hawkstone — into national successes.
