Kaleb Cooper Breaks Silence on Fame After Fan Claims He’s ‘Changed
Kaleb Cooper Brilliantly Hits Back After ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ Fan Accuses Him of Acting ‘Pretentious’
The young farmer fires back at online criticism as fans rally to defend him.
From Farmhand to Fan Favourite
Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, has once again proven he’s as sharp with words as he is behind the wheel of a tractor.
The Chipping Norton farmer — who rose to fame alongside Jeremy Clarkson on the hit Amazon Prime Video series — has been showered with praise after clapping back at a social media critic who accused him of becoming “pretentious” and “celebrity-obsessed.”
Kaleb’s down-to-earth attitude and often hilarious exasperation with Clarkson’s farming blunders made him an instant fan favourite. His popularity has since skyrocketed, leading to multiple new projects, including his upcoming solo series, Kaleb: Down Under, currently being filmed in Australia.

Backlash From a Viewer
However, not everyone has welcomed his growing fame. After sharing an Instagram update from Australia Zoo, once home to the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, Kaleb found himself on the receiving end of a pointed comment.
The young farmer captioned his post:
“Completing a dream today.”
While most fans flooded the comments with good wishes, one critic took a different approach, writing:
“Mmm shame he wants to just be a celebrity now. Pity he’s not like Jeremy in that he’s not at all affected by his popularity. Jeremy is just a normal bloke next door without any pretentiousness; whereas this one; mmm.”
Kaleb’s Brilliant Response
Never one to shy away from honest conversation, Kaleb responded with humour and class. Mocking the user’s social media handle, he wrote:
“Sorry, but your name on Instagram is ‘one life live it,’ and then you leave this comment.”
He added a laughing emoji and clarified the situation with a perfect mic-drop:
“I’m not going on I’m a Celebrity — I’m out filming farming with Amazon Prime.”
To top it off, Kaleb ended his reply with warmth rather than anger:
“Hope you have a lovely day.”
Fans Rush to Kaleb’s Defence
Kaleb’s followers quickly came to his aid, praising the 25-year-old for staying true to himself despite his growing fame.
One fan wrote:
“What a ridiculous comment. At least Kaleb is growing and learning and going places he’s never been before.”
Another added:
“You’re being very true to yourself, while promoting farming and seeing the world. Don’t let people like that bring you down. Cheers from Canada!”
A third chimed in:
“Being judgmental is far worse than anything … best to focus on your own life.”
New Ventures Down Under

Kaleb’s post comes just weeks after he jetted off to Australia to begin filming Kaleb: Down Under, his first solo Prime Video series.
In his announcement, he shared:
“I’ve got some news! I’m going to be going down under to film my very own series on Prime Video. You know how hard it is for me to leave Chippy, so flying to Australia is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone.
But I’m on a mission to see if I can make my farming contracting business go international.”
Kaleb humorously added:
“But first, I’ve got to get through the flight! Don’t fear though, my Chippy friends — I will be back.”
Clarkson’s Classic Reply
Jeremy Clarkson, never one to miss a chance for banter, offered his own tongue-in-cheek response to Kaleb’s big announcement:
“I’m so happy about this. Because finally I can run my farm without him mucking everything up.”
A Star Staying Grounded
Despite the fame, Kaleb continues to win hearts with his authenticity and humility. From humble beginnings at Diddly Squat Farm to filming across the world, the young farmer remains passionate about showcasing the realities of modern agriculture — and taking the occasional good-natured jab from his critics in stride.
As one fan summed it up perfectly:
“Kaleb isn’t pretending to be a celebrity. He’s just living his dream — and bringing farming to the world while he’s at it.”
