Originally the runt of the litter, Richard Ham’s struggle to gain weight and his eventual rescue melted hearts across the show’s fourth season. Now, Clarkson has taken a clever step — applying to trademark the pig’s name with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office.

Turning a TV Star Into a Brand

According to reports from The Daily Star, the Top Gear and Grand Tour host plans to use the Richard Ham name across a wide range of products, including clothing, homeware, gardening tools, cookbooks, and even Christmas decorations.

The move signals that Clarkson is looking to transform his animal co-star into a full-fledged brand, capitalizing on the pig’s popularity among fans of Clarkson’s Farm.

Lisa Hogan Shares an Update

Jeremy’s partner, Lisa Hogan, recently delighted fans with an update on the now-grown pig. Sharing a video clip on social media, she joked:

“Look who it is!!! It’s Richard ‘porker’ Ham.”

In the video, the once-tiny pig appears huge and healthy as he emerges from his sty. Hogan playfully adds,

“Who recognises this beast? Yes, you’re huge. Yes, it’s because you’ve been hand-fed for all these months!”

Clarkson’s Expanding Trademark Empire

Richard Ham isn’t Clarkson’s first venture into branding. The Clarkson’s Farm star has previously filed trademark protections for a number of popular phrases and products from the show, including:

  • “Snail Juice” – a skincare range
  • “Diddly Squat Drive” – a fragrance line
  • “Grubby Farmer” – toiletries and scents
  • “I did a thing” – his signature catchphrase
  • “The Farmer’s Dog” – the name of his pub, covering merchandise like beer mats, tea towels, and glassware

He even trademarked the cheeky slogan “I am a f*er”**, featured on t-shirts sold through his Diddly Squat Farm Shop website.
