Clarkson’s Farm Star Harriet Cowan’s Emotional Farewell and New Farming Mission

Rising Fame on Clarkson’s Farm

Harriet Cowan, the 24-year-old farmhand who captured viewers’ attention on the most recent series of Clarkson’s Farm, has shared a heartfelt message following her departure from the Prime Video show.

Initially brought in as a temporary replacement for fan-favourite Kaleb Cooper, Harriet quickly won audiences over with her knowledge, her enthusiasm for farming, and her ability to hold her own alongside Jeremy Clarkson at the infamous Diddly Squat Farm. Though her stint was brief, her presence made a lasting impression.

Now, away from the cameras, Harriet is carving out her own path, channeling her passion for agriculture into wider campaigns and business ventures.

Leading the Charge for Farm24

On Instagram, where she now boasts more than 550,000 followers, Harriet delivered an emotional video message to mark Farm24. The annual nationwide event encourages farmers across the UK to share their daily lives and showcase the reality of modern farming through 24 hours of online content.

“Farm24 is showcasing to the general public, over a 24-hour period, what a farmer gets up to,” Harriet explained. “The Government should invest more time and money into farming because we need it. It’s a bit of a dying industry otherwise.”

Her words struck a chord with her audience. Beyond her glamorous television appearance, Harriet’s sincerity and determination to highlight farming’s struggles resonated strongly. She stressed that without support, future generations could lose touch with an industry vital to Britain’s economy and food supply.

A Poignant Call for Recognition

Harriet used her platform not just to promote Farm24, but also to push for greater recognition of young farmers.

“Going forward, I hope that the next generation of farmers will be recognised more by the public and the Government,” she said, “especially to put British farming on the map and for people to be aware that we are here.”

Her appeal came at a time when UK farmers are facing mounting challenges—from rising costs and climate pressures to international competition. For many of her followers, Harriet’s message served as a reminder that farming is not only about hard work in the fields but also about preserving a way of life.

Community Spirit at the Heart of Farming

In her video, Harriet also reflected on what she valued most about her farming career: the community.

“Being part of the community is probably the most rewarding part for me,” she said. “You have your neighbours and you’re all in tune with each other. You can talk, and if you’re having problems, they’ll all be there to help you.”

This emphasis on solidarity has become a recurring theme in Harriet’s public persona. Unlike many reality TV personalities who focus solely on lifestyle branding, she continues to frame her fame around farming values and rural life.

Building a Business Empire

But Harriet isn’t limiting herself to farming advocacy. Following her rise to fame, she has also ventured into business.

In July, she incorporated a private company called Farmfluence, described as a post-production media enterprise, with herself listed as the sole director and shareholder. Industry experts suggest the brand could allow Harriet to merge her passion for farming with opportunities in digital media, creating content that highlights agriculture for a global audience.

PR specialist Lynn Carratt noted the scale of her potential: “Harriet has around 1.2 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. If she is savvy, she could rake in £500,000 in the next 12 months.”

Signing with Off Limits Entertainment—a talent agency known for representing reality stars including Love Island’s Chris Hughes—also suggests Harriet is positioning herself for a career that blends television, social media influence, and business development.

Fans Call for Her Return

Despite her growing ventures, many fans of Clarkson’s Farm remain hopeful that Harriet could reappear on the show in the future. After all, her tenure at Diddly Squat Farm only ended once Kaleb Cooper returned to his role as Clarkson’s right-hand man.

Viewers flooded social media with calls for her to be included in the next season, citing her strong presence and genuine passion for agriculture as reasons she brought something fresh to the series.

Balancing Glamour and Grit

Part of Harriet’s appeal lies in the contrast she embodies. On screen and online, she brings style and confidence often associated with reality TV stars. Yet at her core, she is deeply committed to the gritty, often overlooked realities of British farming.

By using her platform to speak about challenges in the agricultural sector while also pursuing media opportunities, Harriet demonstrates that glamour and grit are not mutually exclusive.

Looking Ahead

Whether she returns to Clarkson’s Farm or focuses entirely on her independent ventures, Harriet Cowan has already established herself as more than just a TV personality. She has become a visible advocate for farmers, a budding entrepreneur, and a relatable figure for a generation that increasingly wants to see authenticity behind the fame.

Her message during Farm24 captured this dual identity perfectly: a farmer at heart, a star by circumstance, and a woman determined to ensure that British farming has a future.
