Clarkson Calls Him “The Hardest Worker I Know”—Now Kaleb Cooper Is a Millionaire

How Clarkson’s Farm Breakout Star Kaleb Cooper Became a Millionaire

Kaleb Cooper, the outspoken young farmer who shot to fame on Amazon’s hit series Clarkson’s Farm, has officially become a millionaire at just 26 years old.

From Unknown Farmhand to TV Personality

When Jeremy Clarkson purchased the Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton back in 2021, few viewers could have predicted that his biggest discovery wouldn’t be crops or cattle—but Kaleb Cooper. Already working at the farm under its previous owner, Cooper was kept on by Clarkson and quickly emerged as his right-hand man.

Onscreen, Kaleb guided the former Top Gear presenter through the often baffling realities of agriculture, creating a dynamic mix of frustration, humor, and genuine mentorship that became the heart of the series.

The Millionaire Milestone

According to financial records filed in March, Kaleb Cooper Productions, the company established to manage his earnings from the show, reported assets of £960,000 before expenses—including £400,000 in cash.

Alongside this, Cooper runs two other farming enterprises: K Cooper Contracting and K Cooper Holdings, which together made a profit of around £100,000. Combined, these ventures have pushed Cooper’s total wealth over the £1 million mark.

It’s a remarkable turnaround for a young man who once revealed he was paying himself as little as 50 pence an hour due to the razor-thin margins of traditional farming.

From 50p an Hour to National Recognition

In 2022, Cooper explained the struggles of small-scale farming:

“I bought eight calves as a little business idea. Feeding them costs me about £200 each on milk before I can sell them at nine months. I worked it out the other day—my hourly rate was about 50p.”

Despite the financial grind, Cooper’s work ethic set him apart. Jeremy Clarkson has described him as “the hardest working person I know,” noting that he often worked 18-hour days without a break. That dedication, paired with his no-nonsense personality, struck a chord with audiences and turned him into one of Britain’s most unlikely new celebrities.

Expanding His Brand

Kaleb has wasted no time building on his newfound fame. Beyond farming and television, he has authored multiple books, including It’s a Farming Thing, Britain According to Kaleb, and The World According to Kaleb.

Last year, he even launched a solo stage show under the same title, touring the UK with anecdotes about his life, farming, and his unique perspective on the world.

Life at Home

Away from the cameras, Cooper shares life with his fiancée Taya and their two children, Oscar, three, and Willa, one. In February, the couple announced they were expecting their third child, due in August 2025.

Posting on social media, Kaleb wrote:

“Very excited to announce that baby Cooper number 3 is cooking… Going to be a very very busy August.”

Despite the financial windfall, Cooper insists his life ambition remains grounded: to own a farm of his own.

The Future of Clarkson’s Farm

The popularity of Clarkson’s Farm shows no signs of slowing down. The fourth season, currently in production, is set to premiere on Prime Video as the platform’s most-streamed original series. A fifth season has already been greenlit.

Much of the show’s charm comes from the natural chemistry between Clarkson and Cooper. Their banter often erupts into full-blown arguments over farming decisions, but according to Cooper, that’s just part of the friendship.

“Our chemistry is completely natural,” he told PA Media. “We’re really good friends, apart from the arguing. We may stop talking for a day or two, but eventually, we come together and have a cup of tea, and we’re fine again.”

From Fields to Fortune

Kaleb Cooper’s journey from earning pennies an hour to building a million-pound empire embodies the unlikely magic of Clarkson’s Farm. By staying true to his roots, leaning into hard work, and embracing the quirks of fame, he has become more than just Clarkson’s sidekick—he’s now a national farming voice in his own right.

And with new projects, a growing family, and more seasons of the show on the horizon, Cooper’s story is only just beginning.
