What to expect from Clarkson’s Farm season 5
As the new season of Clarkson’s Farm launches today, Farmers Guide has put together a brief overview of what Diddly Squat fans can expect from series five.

The first four episodes will be released on the 3rd June, followed by two episodes on the 10th June and two final episodes on the 17th June.
The upcoming season of Clarkson’s Farm begins with Jeremy facing a major health scare. However, despite doctors’ orders to take things slowly, he heads to London to protest the government budget with the farming community.
After returning to Diddly Squat, Jeremy decides to venture into the world of high-tech farming to improve productivity on the farm, ending with Kaleb’s first-ever trip abroad to see the machinery in action.
With the robot tractors up and running, all is working seamlessly at Diddly Squat for a time. However, this does not last as things take a sideways turn in the final episodes and misfortune reigns down on Clarkson and his crew.
Plenty of laughs and chaos
Andy Wilman, executive producer of Clarkson’s Farm, explained what viewers can expect from season 5.
He said: “Entertainment-wise, there’s a lot to laugh at. Jeremy introduces a new breed of EasyCare sheep that he’s absolutely convinced will behave, which, unsurprisingly, causes chaos. There’s also the madness of him trying to open a Santa’s grotto at the pub and the sheer joy of watching Kaleb go abroad for the first time ever.”

When quizzed about the impact of his hit show, Jeremy Clarkson said: “I like to think Clarkson’s Farm has altered the way people think about farming. I think more people now appreciate just how difficult it is and just how badly paid it is.
“For that reason alone, I think the programme has been a good thing. Obviously, things like the government budget have fed into that wider conversation across UK farming, and Clarkson’s Farm reflects that.”
The star of the show also stated what he thought would surprise viewers the most from the new season.
He said: “After six or seven years of farming, I still can’t attach anything to the back of a tractor. I can’t remember the sequence of buttons, I can’t line anything up properly, and I don’t know where the hydraulic hoses go.
“It disappoints me that I still have to get Kaleb to help. Anything practical, I can’t do. It’s annoying in everyday life, but on a farm, it’s absolutely infuriating.”
