The 66-year-old is due to return as host for another series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, a role he first took on in 2018 when ITV revived the iconic game show.

ITV has confirmed that Jeremy will be back at the helm for a fresh series, with the broadcaster’s applications page now open for prospective contestants eager to take part in the new instalment.

The broadcaster revealed that the audition and casting window will run between July 13 and October 30 this year, suggesting new episodes are likely to air in 2026.

This announcement comes ahead of the upcoming series, due to kick off on April 26, and promises nail-biting, high-stakes drama throughout, reports the Mirror.
Viewers can expect two contestants to battle their way through to the final question, with at least one of them walking away with the staggering £1 million top prize.

The broadcaster has noted that only six contestants in the show’s entire UK history have claimed the ultimate prize, with just one winner since Clarkson took over as host.

Billed as “the most dramatic series yet”, one unfortunate contestant will endure one of the most painful losses in the programme’s history, dramatically forfeiting £186,000 in a single agonising moment.

Speaking ahead of the new series, Jeremy Clarkson said: “I think this may be my favourite series so far. Seeing two people get to the £1 million question was extraordinary.

“When they’re sitting there on that final question, the tension in the studio is incredible, you can really feel it. Can’t wait for people to watch it.”
