Jeremy Clarkson to host UK’s largest arable farming event at Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton
Jeremy Clarkson will host the UK’s largest arable farming event, Cereals, at his Diddly Squat Farm this summer.
Cereals was first launched in 1979 and has become one of the UK’s biggest farming events, with around 24,000 visitors expected to attend this year.

This summer’s event will take place on Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, at Diddly Squat Farm between Chipping Norton and Chadlington.
The trade event for farmers will feature over 600 exhibitors and live demonstrations of the latest farming products and technology as well as talks from industry experts.
Alongside this, the show will include a livestock zone, the heats of Britain’s Fittest Farmer and an area focused on young farmers and contractors called Kaleb’s Corner.
Speaking about the event, Jeremy said: “This is an important event, not just for the agriculture sector nationally but for our local farming communities too. Farming is an industry that is in deep trouble. I have the honour of trying to put something back into this beleaguered world.”
Organisers of Cereals and the team at Diddly Squat will be working with a specialist traffic management company and Oxfordshire County Council to ensure that residents near the farm experience as little disturbance as possible during the event.
This will include a temporary 30mph limit and one-way systems on surrounding roads, restrictions for non-residents in Chadlington and free parking.

Organisers of Cereals will also operate a number of bus services, transporting attendees from regional hubs around the UK to the site.
Mr Clarkson said: “We are hosting the event, but Cereals are the organisers and they know what they are doing.
“They’ve been doing this in rural communities for years and know how to manage the traffic to make sure the village and surrounding area is relatively undisturbed.”
Chief agronomist on hit TV show Clarkson’s Farm, ‘Cheerful’ Charlie Ireland added: “A huge amount of planning has gone into managing the traffic and visitors around the event, and the traffic management team will be on hand throughout to address any issues quickly if they do arise.
“This is an event I’ve visited multiple times over the years. We’ve worked to make some critical changes, and I’m confident the Cereals team will be able to minimise any impact on Chadlington and the surrounding area.”
