Jeremy Clarkson gives Cotswolds pub staff update after job fears
Jeremy Clarkson has given a staffing update at his Cotswolds pub in Oxfordshire after previous job fears.
The TV presenter is well known for appearing alongside James May and Richard Hammond on motoring shows Top Gear and The Grand Tour.

Away from this, Mr Clarkson owns Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, which has been the subject of all four series of Clarkson’s Farm.
The Prime Video documentary, which has a fifth season wrapped and on the way, also focused on the 65-year-old’s pub in the fourth instalment.
Having bought The Windmill in Asthall near Burford for £1,000,000 two years ago, the spot was renovated and renamed The Farmer’s Dog.
The Cotswolds watering hole opened to the public in August 2024, and Mr Clarkson has given a pub staffing update in a new article in The Times.
This article, released over the weekend, notes how the TV star has been “lucky” to survive the recent pub downturn.

It notes that, according to the British Beer and Pub Association, UK watering holes are closing at a rate of one a day.
Despite Mr Clarkson’s initial fears that The Farmer’s Dog would be another victim, the pub has proved to be a “runaway success” with more than 150 people employed.
“I’ve got 156 people on the payroll, and we’re lucky — the pub is busy as hell,” he said.
“The message we try to get across in the pub is [that] everything you eat and drink was reared or grown by British farmers, with the exception, for now, of the hops in the beer and the tonic in the gin and tonics.
“No coffee, no Coca-Cola, no avocado. And that does resonate very well with people who go there to eat.”
