Jeremy Clarkson ‘takes down’ TV presenter after ‘worst year ever’

Jeremy Clarkson has “taken down” a TV presenter after his ‘worst year ever’.

The former Top Gear host runs his 1,000-acre Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire as well as his Cotswolds pub in Asthall, The Farmer’s Dog.

Mr Clarkson now appears to have taken aim at Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin following her upbeat comments about the recent stormy conditions across the UK.

Throughout January, large parts of the UK were hit by powerful winds and heavy rain, prompting red weather warnings from the Met Office.
Despite the widespread disruption, Ms Tobin shared a post on social media site X celebrating record-breaking wind power generation.

She said the gales had led to the UK’s turbines producing unprecedented levels of electricity — 10.6 terawatt-hours last month, according to energy think tank Ember.

The data suggested that the increase helped lower gas costs by around £164 million.
Clarkson wasn’t impressed and savagely replied: “So to solve global warming, it’s best if we all freeze. Excellent.”

The farmer and broadcaster has frequently spoken about the challenges extreme weather poses to his agricultural business.

Last summer, he said soaring temperatures had caused severe problems with his harvest, calling it his “worst year ever” on the farm.

He noted that soaring heat and a lack of rainfall had devastated crops, warning at the time: “It was the second-worst on record, and this year could be even worse because it hasn’t rained.”
