ITV Brings Global Dating Hit to British Farms in New ‘Farming for Love’ Series
ITV Launches New Dating Series to Help Farmers Find Love
ITV is set to introduce a new reality dating programme designed to help single farmers find meaningful relationships, blending romance with the realities of rural life.

Inspired by a Global Television Success
The new series, Farming For Love, is inspired by the internationally successful format Farmer Wants a Wife, which has aired in more than 34 countries, including the US and Australia. Since its launch in 2001, the format has been credited with more than 250 marriages and over 600 children worldwide. A UK version previously aired in 2009, presented by Louise Redknapp.
Love Rooted in Rural Life
Described by ITV as a show full of “heart, humour and authenticity,” Farming For Love will follow unattached British farmers who are searching not only for romance, but for a partner willing to embrace the demands and lifestyle of modern farming.
Participants will review applications from potential partners before inviting selected candidates to stay on their farms. There, couples will live and work together, experiencing the day-to-day realities of agricultural life while exploring whether a genuine connection can develop.
From Applications to Life on the Farm
As the series progresses, hopeful matches will take part in farm work and daily routines, offering an honest look at whether love can grow alongside early mornings, physical labour, and rural isolation. Each farmer will ultimately face a difficult decision: choosing the person they believe could share both their life and livelihood.
Producers Promise Heart and Authenticity
Nicola Lloyd, creative director at production company Naked TV, said the programme reflects both the popularity of farming and the challenges farmers face when it comes to relationships.
“Farming has never been more popular, but finding love while running a farm remains a real challenge,” she said. “This series has all the warmth and humour needed to help people connect in an authentic way.”
ITV’s Vision for the Show
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s director of entertainment, reality and daytime television, described Farming For Love as “a love story with farming at the heart of it.”
She added: “It’s funny, uplifting and designed to make viewers feel good, while staying true to the realities of rural life.”
A Format With a Proven Track Record
With Farmer Wants a Wife marking its 25th anniversary this year, ITV is hoping Farming For Love will resonate with British audiences by combining romance, realism and the growing public interest in farming life.
