Jeremy Clarkson has emerged victorious in a planning dispute concerning his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, after an agonising wait of over a year for a verdict. This will come as welcome news to fans of his Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm, who continue to come out in droves to visit the relatively new establishment.

The Clarkson’s Farm presenter had submitted an application seeking approval to install hard surfacing across both car parks at his establishment in Burford, Oxfordshire, and has now received the green light from West Oxfordshire District Council officials, the Oxford Mail reports.

The newspaper states the decision was reached this month, following a protracted waiting period exceeding 12 months

According to the Oxford Mail, planning officer Kelly Murray from West Oxfordshire acknowledged in her decision that The Farmer’s Dog had created difficulties for the nearby village of Asthall due to attracting an “unusual” volume of traffic.

She noted: “The number of visitors to the site is reportedly causing congestion along the A40 and also within the village of Asthall itself.
