Jeremy Clarkson reveals how ‘astonishing drug’ made him lose three stone in health update
Jeremy Clarkson Shares Health Update After Dramatic Weight Loss
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he has lost three stone in just six months, crediting what he described as an “astonishing drug” for the transformation. The television presenter, best known for Top Gear, The Grand Tour, and Clarkson’s Farm, opened up about the change while speaking about his current health.
The 65-year-old said the weight loss has been so significant that he has had to replace much of his wardrobe, including his shoes.

From Motoring Icon to Farming Star
Clarkson rose to global fame as the lead presenter of Top Gear before leaving the BBC in 2015 alongside Richard Hammond and James May. The trio later reunited on Amazon Prime Video for The Grand Tour, which concluded last year after six seasons.
Since 2021, Clarkson has taken on a very different role as a farmer in Clarkson’s Farm, documenting his attempts to run Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire. The fourth season aired earlier this year, with a fifth series currently expected next year.
The Medication Behind the Weight Loss
Clarkson revealed that his weight loss was achieved after starting Mounjaro, an injectable medication commonly prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes and support long-term weight management.
The drug works by mimicking the hormones GLP-1 and GIP, which help regulate appetite and blood sugar levels. According to Clarkson, it has significantly reduced his appetite and helped him maintain a stable weight.
“I’ve plateaued now,” he said. “I’m not losing any more weight, but I’m not putting any on either. It keeps my appetite level down.”
‘Even My Shoes Don’t Fit Anymore’
Clarkson said the physical changes have gone further than he expected.
“I’ve had to have completely new outfits,” he explained. “Even my feet have shrunk. The shoes I was wearing last year are falling off me when I walk around.”
He joked that he might be “the first person in the world to lose weight on his feet.”

Side Effects and Honest Reflections
While many users of the drug report side effects, Clarkson said he has avoided most of the common issues. However, he admitted to feeling “a little duller” mentally and less sharp than before.
He also joked about the difficulty of knowing whether some changes were caused by the medication or simply by age, adding that his partner, Lisa Hogan, has teased him about being slightly grumpier since starting the treatment.
Feeling Healthier Overall
Despite the lighter moments, Clarkson stressed that the overall impact on his health has been positive. He said he now has more energy, can walk for longer, and generally feels better physically.
“I’m much healthier,” he said. “I can take the dogs out for longer now, and that makes a big difference.”
As fans wait for the next season of Clarkson’s Farm, Clarkson’s update has offered a candid glimpse into how his life off-camera continues to change—this time, in ways that even surprised him.
