Rick Lagina: ‘We Found Something TERRIFYING Beneath the Swamp!
The Strange Discovery Beneath Oak Island’s Swamp
A Hidden Structure in the Swamp
During the holidays, Rick and Marty Lagina, along with Gary Drayton and Billy Gerhardt, decided to continue their search on Oak Island rather than return home. While excavating the swamp’s southeastern side, the team stumbled upon something extraordinary: a strange wooden and stone structure buried beneath the swamp. This finding raised the possibility that Fred Nolan’s long-held theory about a sunken ship might finally be proven.
The Sunken Ship Theory
For years, researchers have speculated that Oak Island’s swamp concealed the remains of a ship deliberately sunk and buried. Evidence such as curved ship-like timbers and submerged wooden planks dating as far back as the 17th century support the idea. Could this mean a treasure ship lies beneath the artificial swamp?
Fred Nolan’s Contributions
Surveyor Fred Nolan spent decades studying Oak Island. He discovered stone markers, cross formations, and drilled rocks suggesting man-made activity. Nolan believed Oak Island was once two islands, and that a treasure-laden ship was purposely sunk and covered by an engineered swamp to hide it. His theories, once dismissed, now seem more convincing after the Laginas’ latest finds.
Templars, Vikings, and Ancient Visitors
Some theorists believe both the Vikings and Knights Templar may have reached Nova Scotia. Archaeologist Adriano Gaspani analyzed stone monuments on the island and dated them to the 13th century, aligned with astronomical precision. Such advanced knowledge hints at a Templar connection. Others speculate Vikings may have collaborated with them, leaving ships or artifacts behind.
The Mystery Symbols
Diver Tony Sampson explored a nearby well and discovered carvings:
- A triangle with an eye resembling the “All-Seeing Eye”
- A broad arrow symbol, historically used to mark British crown property
These mysterious markings suggest that Oak Island has been visited by multiple groups across different centuries—Templars, British, or Freemasons.

A Government Shutdown?
Recent excavations reportedly uncovered something far stranger than wood or stone. Scans revealed a large metallic object with unknown markings buried deep in the swamp. Authorities quickly restricted further digging, citing “environmental concerns,” and equipment was seized. Rumors suggest the discovery might be tied to a lost civilization, secret societies, or even something not of this world.
Borehole DN11.5 – A Gold Connection
In one of their latest drill programs, the Lagina team hit a void at 90 feet. Wood samples retrieved from the borehole showed traces of gold (0.04%). This scientific evidence strongly suggests that treasure or gold artifacts may indeed lie hidden within Oak Island’s underground tunnels.
The Unfinished Mystery
Despite centuries of searching, Oak Island continues to resist giving up its secrets. Every discovery—whether stone monuments, mysterious carvings, or traces of gold—adds new layers to the enigma. Theories range from Spanish treasure galleons to Templar relics and even evidence of lost civilizations.
One thing remains certain: the swamp and money pit conceal something extraordinary. Whether it is legendary treasure, ancient relics, or something beyond history, the mystery of Oak Island endures.
