Gold Rush Season 16 Episode 2 Air Date & Spoilers: Eager Beavers Preview
Gold Rush Season 16, Episode 2: “Eager Beavers” Brings Chaos, Comedy, and High-Stakes Drama
The Yukon is heating up — and not just because of the gold fever. After a thrilling premiere that saw Parker Schnabel poach foreman Brennan Ruault from Kevin Beets, and Tony Beets narrowly avoid disaster when a $750,000 rock truck nearly plunged off a cliff, Gold Rush Season 16 is already off to a roaring start.
Now, with Episode 2 titled “Eager Beavers” premiering Friday, November 14, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery, fans can expect even more tension, surprises, and — believe it or not — a giant beaver standing in the miners’ way.

Tony Beets vs. The Beaver Blockade
Even for the “King of the Klondike,” nothing comes easy. In this week’s episode, Tony Beets finds himself facing a truly bizarre obstacle — a giant beaver that’s built a dam directly in the path of his mining operation.
The dam threatens to flood Tony’s work site, throwing his crew into chaos and jeopardizing his goal of mining 6,500 ounces of gold, worth over $22 million.
But true to form, Tony doesn’t back down from a challenge. Fans can expect plenty of creative problem-solving (and a few choice curse words) as the veteran miner fights back against nature itself.
“Only in the Yukon could a beaver take down a million-dollar operation,” one crew member jokes — but for Tony, it’s no laughing matter.
Parker Schnabel Doubles Down on Dominance
Meanwhile, Parker Schnabel is proving once again why he’s one of the most competitive miners on the show. After shocking fans in the premiere by poaching Brennan Ruault, Parker isn’t stopping there. Episode 2 teases that he’s looking to recruit even more of Kevin Beets’ crew, expanding his operation in a bid to double his gold output.
But with a bigger team comes bigger pressure. Foremen Mitch Blaschke and Tyson Lee are already feeling the strain as they juggle new hires, high expectations, and Parker’s relentless leadership style.
“There’s no room for excuses this season,” Parker warned in Episode 1 — and it’s clear he means it.
Whether his aggressive tactics will pay off or implode under the weight of ambition remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain: Parker isn’t here to play small.
Rick Ness Hunts for Redemption
Elsewhere, Rick Ness continues his uphill battle to get his season on track. With no water license for his Duncan Creek claim, Rick is scrambling for new ground. His test at Lightning Creek last episode yielded only half the gold he’d hoped for, leaving his crew deflated and his season in jeopardy.
In “Eager Beavers,” Rick reportedly begins negotiating for a new claim that could change everything — but the deal is risky. One misstep could cost him his entire season.
Still, fans know Rick’s resilience is his greatest strength. No matter how many setbacks he faces, he’s always ready to roll the dice one more time.

A Wild Ride Ahead
From Tony’s war with wildlife to Parker’s high-stakes power moves and Rick’s desperate push for redemption, Episode 2 of Gold Rush is shaping up to be a wild, unpredictable ride through the Yukon.
With gold prices near record highs, every miner knows that one good run could make the season — and one mistake could end it.
Don’t miss “Eager Beavers”, airing Friday, November 14, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET on Discovery Channel, to find out:
- Will Tony beat the beaver and reclaim his ground?
- Can Parker’s recruitment spree bring him closer to his 10,000-ounce goal?
- And will Rick finally strike the deal that saves his season?
Stay tuned — the race for gold has never been this wild.
