Season 20 Recap | Deadliest Catch’s Greatest Moments
You know this is going to make or break us right now because we guaranteed to catch double our quota. Way too much rides on this. Kinda don’t even want to watch.
Big money, big money, big money… Come on, daddy. Throw me that crab! Boom! Woohoo! Yeah baby!
“Montgomery, you still on the line?”
“I am.”
“Good afternoon. I have Dr. Nolan, our duty flight surgeon, for you.”
“Okay, thank you.”

“Okay, feeling all right? You doing okay?”
“Besides being cold. He was down in his stateroom and he was going to use the head and he had some sort of spill. So I… I don’t know.”
“That’s concerning.”
“And now he just came out and told me…”
“Stand by one second. Break.”
“Go ahead, Cody.”
“Yeah, he’s uh… he said he’s really cold. He has all his covers over his body. Just now, in the last few moments since we’ve been on the call, he’s experiencing chills, which the doctor didn’t know about. That just started. He did mention that may not be good.”
“How does he look? Skin color? Is he pale? Clammy?”
“I couldn’t tell you. I’d have to go down and see him. Give me a minute.”
“Okay, sure. Stand by.”
“How you feeling now, bro?”
“I’m freaking really cold.”
“Okay, well that’s not good.”
“I’m totally good.”
“Being really cold is not good. The doctor said clammy and chills aren’t good. Hey, Tyler, can you come down please? We gotta take your blood pressure, bro. We’re going to be bugging you regularly with this.”
“Beep for us. I’d like to see you sleeping on your side.”
“Okay, I sleep on my side.”
“See this? Left hook. I’m good to go. Hey, Randy, don’t film this. I’m worried about your health here, Keith.”
“I ain’t the other mother.”
“That’s right. Let’s not think about the other mother. Let’s think about…”
“Well, I do because I gotta worry about…”
“Okay, here goes your blood pressure again. Go to your happy place. Think about a Grateful Dead show or some chick or something pleasant.”
“Okay, I’m totally good. I just don’t like the idea of a meat wagon, man.”
“I know you don’t. Nobody does, bro. Settle down. Try to relax.”
“I am good. Look, I’m staying. I’m totally good.”
“Whoa. 150 over 120. Okay, leave that device in here, turn it off, and I’ll be back down to check in a bit.”
“Hello, I’m back. His skin color looks pretty normal. Not clammy or anything.”
“Understood.”
“Let me give you his blood pressure: 150 over 120.”
“I would say a mini stroke. An early stroke. Maybe a TIA – transient ischemic attack. We won’t really know for a while.”
“Makes sense.”
“Yep. We’ll be here if you have questions. Bye-bye.”
Coming into the harbor was already a challenge. Sketchy getting in there to start with.
“Exactly. We might have to take a look, maybe wait a couple of hours. I don’t know.”
“Obviously, you gotta get in the harbor, but when you can’t, it’s got to be catastrophic.”
From the moment we all woke up, the deck fell off on the Illusion Lady.
“Jacob, I love you, but you left human fecal matter in a working space. Not okay. I get it, you had to do it. But we’re a family on this boat. We all work hard and try our best. Let’s just put our issues behind us, get our gear dialed in, and make some money.”
“Let’s bring it in, get it done as a team, and just kick some ass.”
“Roger that. Let’s rock and roll.”
“Let’s fill this boat up as quick as we can. I can’t afford to mess around anymore.”
“Last one coming up. Here we go. Don’t miss… Got him! Good job. Oh, he missed! Pulled it in too bad.”
“Who’s the big boy? I’m the big boy!”
[Music]
Finally down to the wire. Last lap. They got our number.
That’s a way to end the season for sure. Bam.
“Okay, you guys ready for this? So you put in 62,486 lbs. That’s about an extra $100,000 for the boat. You all split. 30% goes to the crew. So you all made a little over $40,000 each.”
“Merry Christmas. Go spend it with your families. Let’s go to Homer!”
[Applause]
Turned out really well. I’d never go anywhere without my brother Neil. Next step is home, Christmas, then back to fishing.
First pot. Make or break moment. We guaranteed to catch double our quota. Too much riding on it.
“Come on, daddy. Throw me that crab! Boom! Yeah baby! This is how you fill a tank! Count 82… keep it coming. Guys are kicking ass. Oh yeah, there it is! We needed this!”
“Thank you, Lord.”
“Yeah! Landon’s got us on the fair eye now. Numbers are good.”
On the Seabrook…
“Whoa whoa whoa! Watch out! Everybody okay?”
“We’re good. Thumbs up.”
“Bob’s behind the wheel, boys. Watch your bacon!”
“It’s intense. Nerve-wracking. I’m shookth.”
“Stay vigilant, finish strong.”
100 miles northeast on the Illusion Lady. Battling wind, waves, current. Nico’s hurting. Four-man deck. Culmination of it all makes the sets complex.
“We don’t have anything this deep yet. Gotta get the pots off. It’s not smooth.”
“We’re a man down. Nico’s inside resting his foot.”
“I don’t feel good about a four-man deck after what happened.”
“Not injured. All in pain. Nobody’s had much sleep.”
“Last pot. Roger. Make sure everything’s square.”
“Hopefully Nico comes out tomorrow and kicks ass. If I have any chance, I need him out there.”
“All right, bro. How you doing?”
“Better. Still bruised.”
“Pain level?”
“Not too bad unless I put pressure on it.”
“Let it heal. Once we start stacking out in bad weather, I’ll need you.”
“All right, dude. Let’s do this.”
Reassess in the morning.
50 miles southwest. Today is November 2nd on the Time Bandit.
“She’s two days off on her phone.”
“Two days till our anniversary, honey. Got reservations and wine. Sneak off the boat, take care of my baby.”
“You’re the best.”
36 hours after the crew reset every clock, Captain Jonathan needs to stuff the tanks with 10,000 lbs of red king crab.
“Here it comes! That’s a good one. Big boy! Got the next pot coming up.”
“Yeah baby! Come on, keep it coming! Got to be plus 50 in that one!”
“Doing well. Gonna make it home for my anniversary. I love you, Heather.”
On the Northwestern.
“Come on girl. We’re gonna split it. Port. Keep going.”
“Okay, right on it. Come on, man.”
“Not hard over yet. Hold on. Starboard. Next pot’s right there.”
“You should be swinging starboard now.”
“Big one! That’s what I’m talking about. Last one coming up. How’s your arms?”
“Dead. Woo! You hit it! Last one.”
“Got him! 55 crab. Better than a poke in the eye.”
Now the only issue is getting the boat to shore.
“We got the last coordinates of the last pot. Should we go to St. Paul or to town?”
“I say Dutch. From here it’s about 100-120 miles. We’re right on the border. Depends on the tide. Hopefully we don’t get set too far. We’ll find out.”
28 miles east aboard the Time Bandit.
“First pot. Two more days left. Need a 10-15 average.”
“Whale territory. 210-215 fathoms. Come on, Krabbies!”
“I have a feeling this is gonna be good.”
“Don’t jinx us, John!”
“Come on, baby!”
“Unbelievable. Jackpot, baby!”
