Richard Hammond wants to work with Clarkson and May again

Richard Hammond wants to work with Jeremy Clarkson and James May again after Top Gear and The Grand Tour.

The presenters met on BBC’s Top Gear and presented the popular motoring show until Oxfordshire star Mr Clarkson departed in 2015, followed by his two co-hosts.

Moving over to Prime Video, the trio starred in The Grand Tour, which saw them travel all over the world and record several special episodes released on Amazon’s streaming service.

This came to an end last year with their final episode, One For The Road, which saw them venture across Zimbabwe and Botswana in Africa.
Although their professional collaborations have ended, The Grand Tour as a show has not, with new hosts announced last month ahead of a new six-part series this year.

Trainspotter-turned-social media star Francis Bourgeois will host the new series of the Prime Video show alongside James Engelsman and Thomas Holland.

But it may not be the end of the road for the original trio, though, after some interesting comments between Mr Hammon and former Top Gear and Grand Tour boss, Andy Wilman.
The 63-year-old is a long-time collaborator of the Oxfordshire-based farmer, having met Mr Clarkson at Repton School in Derbyshire.

Discussing the topic of working on a new project as a trio with Mr Wilman at the helm again, Mr Hammond said: “It would be amazing.

“My answer is, wouldn’t it be incredible if ever we did, and one day, maybe we shall. Who knows.”

Mr Wilman responded: ” We will when it feels right. We are under no pressure to, and ending felt right, didn’t it.”
