Jeremy Clarkson swipes at music legends after gig at his Cotswolds pub
Jeremy Clarkson has seemingly taken a swipe at music legends who performed a gig at his Cotswolds pub in Oxfordshire.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour host bought the Windmill pub in Asthall for around £1,000,000 and renamed it to reflect his pets and agricultural pursuits.

The watering hole has seen its fair share of famous names visit since it opened ahead of schedule back in August 2024.
Former US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her actress wife, Portia de Rossi, live nearby and were spotted enjoying a conversation with James Blunt.
Status Quo drummer John Coghlan was also spotted enjoying a drink with his wife and a pal last year.
In the summer, the legendary Scrumpy and Western band, The Wurzels, played a gig at the pub for the Hawkstone Summer Party.
Despite this, Mr Clarkson seemingly took a swipe at the band in a recent video promoting Great British Farm-Fest at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.
Mr Clarkson, Kaleb Cooper, Lisa Hogan, Charlie Ireland, and Adam Henson will take to the stage in May for a unique blend of farm chat and competitions.
Music acts include Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Groove Armada, Blur’s Alex James, who also lives in Oxfordshire, and Radio X star Chris Moyles.
While discussing the line-up in an advertising video, Mr Cooper asks Mr Clarkson: “And we’ve got The Wurzels?”
The 65-year-old said: “We’re not having The Wurzels, they’re s**t. They’re terrible. Agricultural halfwits.
“You only like them because they mention farmyard equipment and cider. OK, let me put it this way. You can either have The Wurzels or me.”
Mr Cooper replied: “Well, The Wurzels it is then.”
