The announcement appeared alongside a bold graphic reading “We have an announcement.”
The caption continued:
“Due to high demand, we’ve decided to keep the farm shop open in January and February.”

The reaction was instant.

Fans Celebrate the News

Supporters flooded the comments with excitement:

  • “This is great news.”
  • “I really want to come again! No chance in December, so this is perfect.”
  • “Well done — you and the staff work so hard!”
  • “Amazing! Now I can bring my daughter for her birthday in February.”

Many praised Clarkson and his team for their work ethic and for keeping the business open during the colder months — something many fans didn’t expect.

Behind the Scenes: Clarkson’s Mission to Restore Wildlife

While fans celebrate the farm shop news, Jeremy has also been vocal about his commitment to restoring the bird population on his Chipping Norton farmland.

Writing in his Sunday Times magazine column, he revealed that the disappearance of birds had deeply affected him:

“Since 1970 their numbers have plummeted by more than 60%. When I first bought Diddly Squat, the skies were completely empty. It made me sad, so I decided to do something about it.”

Over the past seven years, Jeremy has taken several steps to rebuild the habitat:

  • Stopped trimming hedges near fields
  • Increased field-edge margins to 10 metres, far wider than the required 4–6 metres
  • Accepted reduced crop production in favour of creating a healthier environment for wildlife

The Grand Tour presenter says the changes are already making an impact, with more species returning to the farm.
