Jeremy Clarkson Stands By Gerald Cooper in Powerful New Mission
Jeremy Clarkson Backs Gerald Cooper’s New Racing Venture Supporting Cancer Charity
Jeremy Clarkson has publicly thrown his support behind Clarkson’s Farm co-star Gerald Cooper as he launches a new racehorse syndicate to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
The initiative, known as The Mullet syndicate, is operated by Old Gold Racing and was first announced last November—shortly after Cooper revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis.
Clarkson: “This place wouldn’t be a tenth of what it is without Gerald”
Speaking about Cooper’s health battle, Clarkson described the diagnosis as devastating.
“It was horrific when we learned Gerald had been diagnosed with prostate cancer,”
Clarkson said.
“All cancer diagnoses are horrendous – but this place wouldn’t even be a tenth of the place it is without Gerald knocking about.”
He called on fans of the show and the wider public to support the cause:
“Please, let’s get behind Gerald and The Mullet, and let’s see if we can do something about this bloody awful disease.”

Old Gold Racing Praises Clarkson’s Involvement
Ed Seyfried, CEO of Old Gold Racing, welcomed Clarkson’s backing and highlighted Gerald’s importance to the Clarkson’s Farm team.
“Anyone who’s watched the show will know what an integral part of the team Gerald is,” Seyfried said.
“It’s heart-warming to see Jeremy lend his support to our newly set-up syndicate for The Mullet.”
Seyfried also noted that Clarkson is already involved with another Old Gold Racing horse, The Hawkstonian, hinting that the two steeds could one day race head-to-head.
“Who knows, both racehorses might meet on the track one day!”
Raising Funds Through Racehorse Ownership
Public sales for shares in The Mullet syndicate went live on November 21.
Each share includes a £9.50 donation to Prostate Cancer UK, allowing supporters to participate in racehorse ownership while contributing to a charitable cause.
Old Gold Racing hopes the initiative will not only raise funds but also increase awareness of prostate cancer, the most common cancer among men in the UK.
