“Jeremy Clarkson Slams Fan Account as a ‘Menace’ After Viral Video of Him Punching UK Prime Minister”

Jeremy Clarkson has condemned a Clarkson’s Farm fan account after it posted a viral AI video of the presenter punching Keir Starmer.

On March 10, the X/Twitter account @ClarksonsFarm1 shared a nine-second video, in which an avatar of Clarkson throws the UK Prime Minister out of his Farmer’s Dog pub and then punches him twice.

The clip has generated 5.7M views, as well as 69,000 likes, but has since been reduced in visibility because it “may violate X’s rules against Violent Speech.”

Politicians were among those decrying the video, including trade minister Chris Bryant, who wrote: “Come on @ClarksonsFarm1 take it down. I’m all for freedom of speech but not inciting or glorifying violence.”

Clarkson has repeatedly remonstrated with the account in recent months, pointing out that it is not connected to him or his Amazon Prime Video series.

“It is important to remember that this account has nothing to do with me,” he wrote last September. Earlier this month, he added: “That operation drives me mad. I wish they’d stop it.”

Other critics of the video included Labour MP Dawn Butler, who wrote: “Millions watching an AI video of Jeremy Clarkson beating up Keir Starmer. It might seem like a ‘joke’ but normalising violence in politics damages our democracy. I’m calling for an urgent Digital Human Rights Bill to protect people’s identity and likeness online.”
