The Amazon Prime presenter has been compelled to suspend production on the sixth series of the popular programme owing to adverse weather conditions.

The show chronicles Clarkson, alongside his partner Lisa Hogan, farmer Kaleb Cooper, and their colleagues as they manage operations at Diddly Squat Farm and The Farmer’s Dog pub.

The fifth series is scheduled to premiere later this year, with production having concluded in September of last year.

Clarkson revealed the setback in his column for The Sunday Times, stating: “On the face of it, I’m a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run.

“I have a brewery, a shop and a pub, and I host Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and its new spin-off series, and I write three newspaper columns every week.”
He continued: “I’m therefore a one-man blizzard of productivity and action. A human whirlwind. Except I’m not. There’s no filming happening on the farm at the moment.

“Or farming. It hasn’t stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can’t plant anything, and I can’t do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB.”
No announcement has been made regarding when production will recommence. However, Lisa has revealed some promising developments which are expected to appear in the sixth series, as the farm prepares to welcome some new arrivals, reports the Express.

In a recent Instagram post, Lisa uploaded footage of the farm’s flock of sheep, commenting: “The sheep are up the duff! Look at their fat bellies. I hope we have twins from some of them,” prompting followers to flood the comments section with congratulatory messages about the happy development
The fifth series is anticipated to premiere on Prime in May, following the pattern of previous releases around this period.

With an expected run of eight episodes, viewers will have substantial content to enjoy later this year.
