Clarkson’s Farm Favourite Kaleb Cooper Saving to Buy His Own Land
Clarkson’s Farm: Kaleb Cooper Sets Sights on Owning Cotswolds Farm
Rising Star of the Cotswolds
Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, has revealed his long-term dream of purchasing his own farm in the Cotswolds. The 27-year-old farmhand from Chipping Norton rose to fame in 2021 when the first season of the hit Prime Video show introduced audiences to his sharp wit, farming expertise, and often blunt advice to Jeremy Clarkson.
Since then, Cooper has become a fan favourite, appearing in all four seasons of the show—including the most recent, which aired earlier this year across May and June.
A Farmer at Heart
Speaking in a new interview with The Sunday Times, Cooper described farming as his life’s calling.
“I was put on this earth to grow food,” he said, outlining his vision for a future farm complete with calves, chickens, and pigs.
For Cooper, the dream is not about fame or fortune but about fulfilling a deep-rooted purpose. With three young children at home—his third was born earlier this month with partner Taya—he is also motivated by the desire to build a sustainable livelihood for his family.
The Cotswolds Property Challenge
But owning a farm in the picturesque Cotswolds is no easy feat. Land prices in the area have skyrocketed, with agricultural plots around Chipping Norton costing as much as £20,000 per acre.
Cooper currently rents four acres of grassland, which he uses to manage his herd of around 200 beef cows. Despite saving diligently, the high cost of farmland presents a significant obstacle.
“I’m saving everything,” Cooper explained, “but because it’s the Cotswolds, the prices are going through the f***ing roof.”
Playing the Long Game
Despite the financial hurdles, Cooper insists he is determined to achieve his dream. According to The Sunday Times, he is “in it for the long haul” and willing to be patient in pursuit of his own slice of Cotswold heaven.
The statement reflects the persistence viewers have come to admire in Cooper. Known on Clarkson’s Farm for his no-nonsense approach, quick humour, and dedication to the land, he embodies the challenges faced by many young farmers across the UK who struggle with rising costs and limited access to farmland.
Looking Ahead to Clarkson’s Farm Season 5
Fans of the show can expect to see plenty more of Cooper in the near future. Filming for the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm is already underway in Oxfordshire, with a release date expected in 2026.
The series, fronted by Jeremy Clarkson but often carried by Cooper’s expertise, has been credited with raising awareness of the difficulties of modern British farming. With Cooper’s personal story of ambition and resilience now in the spotlight, Season 5 is likely to continue blending entertainment with an authentic portrayal of rural life.
A Future Beyond the Screen?
While Cooper’s television fame has opened new doors, his focus remains firmly on farming. The young father sees land ownership not as a celebrity pursuit but as the ultimate step in his journey as a farmer.
If his determination is anything to go by, it seems only a matter of time before Kaleb Cooper achieves his dream—transforming from a farmhand managing rented fields to the proud owner of a Cotswolds farmstead.
