Inside Jeremy Clarkson & Lisa Hogan’s Private Life as They Celebrate 9 Years Together
Jeremy Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan have reached a major relationship milestone, marking nine years together with a quiet, romantic celebration in the Cotswolds — the rural backdrop that has become central to both their lives and their hit Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm.

A Rare Glimpse Into Their Celebration
On Monday, Clarkson shared a cosy selfie of the couple enjoying a dinner date, captioned simply:
“Nine years!!!”
The low-key celebration showed the pair dressed elegantly, with Clarkson in a black blazer and open-collared white shirt, seated beside Hogan, 51. Lisa jokingly reposted the photo on her Instagram Stories, teasing that their nine years together felt more like “900.”
The post quickly drew warm congratulations from friends and public figures — from Carole Bamford and Amanda Wakeley to actor Richard E. Grant and former WAG Lizzie Cundy.
Fans, of course, flooded the comments urging Clarkson to “finally put a ring on it,” praising Hogan as a “beautiful lady all round.”
A Love Story That Began Slowly
Although often said to have met in 2017, the pair have been together since late 2016. Their romance started quietly, long before cameras arrived at Diddly Squat.
Lisa previously revealed that Clarkson had to “court [her] for three months” because she wasn’t ready to date again. In her words, she “didn’t want to go out with anyone,” but Clarkson persisted.
The relationship has since blossomed into a partnership rooted in humor, mutual support, and a shared life on the farm.

Life Together at Diddly Squat Farm
Three years after they met, Clarkson and Hogan traded city life for the countryside, settling in the Cotswolds and launching the now-famous Diddly Squat Farm — the foundation of their BAFTA-winning show.
Lisa initially resisted moving full-time, but Clarkson convinced her by asking her to help run the farm shop.
“It was a way of getting me down here,” she later admitted.
“I think Jeremy wanted me to move down here full-time, but if he’d said that outright, I might have just said no.”
Today, Lisa is the backbone of the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, handling logistics, stock, and operations — a transition Clarkson has openly admired:
“I am so proud of Lisa… How she has gone from a rather luxurious life to running a farm shop — I don’t know how she does it.”
The Dynamic Between Them
Their relationship is often described as a “double act,” both on screen and off. Hogan calls herself a “huge support” in Clarkson’s life, joking that their dynamic can feel like “puppy training.”
While Clarkson “wears the trousers,” Hogan insists the relationship is balanced:
“He’ll say he wants something done… and then I’ll go ahead and do exactly what I want.”
Despite their closeness, they maintain independence in their day-to-day farm work. Clarkson believes this is one of the secrets to their happiness:
“We have breakfast together, go our separate ways, and then have plenty to talk about in the evening… You don’t end up sitting in silence like normal old people.”
A Proposal… or Not Quite?
Fans frequently speculate about whether marriage is on the horizon — often encouraged by cheeky moments on Clarkson’s Farm.
In one episode, Lisa asked during a walk:
“Is it a proposal?”
Clarkson, feigning deafness, revealed he had revived a fallen willow tree instead.
Lisa later joked that she may have already proposed during the leap year on February 29 — but Clarkson didn’t hear her because he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids.
“Jeremy doesn’t think I proposed… so no one will ever know.”
Blended Family Life
Both Clarkson and Hogan have three children each from previous relationships, and blending their families has unfolded gradually over the years.
While they keep this part of their life private, Lisa has praised Clarkson for the way their families have adapted to the new chapter together.
Nine Years Strong
After nearly a decade together, a successful farm, and a hit television series enjoyed by millions, Clarkson and Hogan appear stronger than ever—balancing humour, hard work, and a shared rural life far from the spotlight that once defined Clarkson’s career.
Their ninth anniversary may have been quiet — but it marks a meaningful chapter in a partnership that fans have watched grow in real time.
