Harriet Cowan Fronts New Channel 4 Farming Series Aimed at Families
Channel 4 Launches New Family Farming Programme
Channel 4 has announced a new partnership with The Happy Egg Co. for Tiny Farmers, a family-friendly programme designed to explore modern British free-range egg farming and hen welfare.
The project aims to combine light-hearted entertainment with accessible education, introducing younger audiences to where their food comes from and how farming works in practice.

Presented by Familiar Faces from TV and Comedy
The programme is fronted by Harriet Cowan, best known for her appearances on Clarkson’s Farm, alongside comedian Jessica Knappett.
Together, the presenters guide viewers through the world of egg farming with humour and curiosity, making the subject approachable for children and families watching at home.
Children Take on the Role of Farmers
Produced by Interstellar TV, Tiny Farmers follows four children as they take part in a series of hands-on challenges inspired by real farm life.
The tasks include caring for hens, learning about welfare standards, and demonstrating basic cooking skills, all under the supervision of agricultural experts from Noble Foods, the parent company of The Happy Egg Co.
Focus on Hen Welfare and Food Education
A central theme of the programme is animal welfare. Through simple explanations and practical demonstrations, Tiny Farmers shows how free-range hens are cared for and how eggs travel from farm to table.
The format is designed to simplify complex farming practices without losing accuracy, helping younger viewers understand the realities behind everyday food products.
Digital-First Release Strategy
The episode will premiere on Channel 4’s YouTube channel on 19 January, with short-form clips distributed across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Full streaming availability is scheduled for February, allowing the programme to reach audiences across multiple platforms.
First Collaboration Through Channel 4 Partner Lab
This marks the first collaboration between Channel 4’s Partner Lab and The Happy Egg Co. Media planning support is being provided by OMD UK, part of Omnicom Media Group.
Stephen Parnell, Digital Commissioning Executive at Channel 4, said the programme was created to strike a balance between humour and education, noting that the presenters play a key role in engaging both participants and viewers.

Part of a Wider Brand Partnership
Tiny Farmers sits within a broader content partnership linked to The Happy Egg Co.’s current advertising campaign, which is running across video-on-demand services, streaming platforms, and social media throughout early 2025.
The collaboration reflects Channel 4’s growing focus on branded content that informs as well as entertains, particularly around food, sustainability, and modern farming.
