Mitch’s Weekly Update:
Hey buddy, you know, we wrapped up the downstream of the long cut this week. Now, we’re focusing on the plant move, and things are moving along. Tav’s been in the loader up there, and he had a bit of a jam-up in the copper feeder. I had to step in and show him how to clear that out. It was a good learning moment for him.
As for the new guys, we’re getting them used to the real problems they’ll face out here. T seems to be doing well. I told him that it’s all smooth sailing until you get comfortable. That’s when things start to pile up, so it’s good he caught it early.
Progress at the Long Cut:
Roxan’s been slinging rocks all week in the new section of the long cut after averaging just 138 o’s per week in the first section. Parker’s hoping the new area will help pick things up. Roxan’s a big help this week, so we’ll see how things are going after everything gets cleared up.
Big Red and Big Bob:
So, here’s how Big Red’s been doing: It’s been running pay at the bridge cut, taking the top layer of pay dirt. So far, we’ve got 10, 20, 60, and 80 yards running for $27,000. Not too bad, right? But Big Bob’s been a real star!
Big Bob’s been running 247 at Kennan Stewart’s place, and here’s the breakdown: 260, 280, 290, 300, 310, 320, 330, 340, and finally, 346.8 yards, which is worth $867,000. I didn’t even know the scale went that high—definitely one of the best performances of the season!
Final Thoughts:
We finished the week with 652.5 RPM. Things are moving along, and we’re getting into a good rhythm. Hopefully, the new area picks up even more as we go!
