‘Gold Rush’: Foreman Tyson Lee’s Girlfriend India Greenhalgh Joins Parker Schnabel’s Team

Foreman’s Partner Steps Into the Gold Fields

Gold Rush is well past the halfway mark of Season 16, and the pressure is intensifying across the Klondike. For Parker Schnabel, that pressure has translated into an all-out push, with four wash plants running as he chases an ambitious target of 10,000 ounces and a $35 million season.

Parker Schnabel Tightens Standards at Dominion Creek

With production ramped up, Parker made it clear there was no room for weak links. Mine manager Nona Loveless raised concerns about loader operator Tayvin Peterson, saying his attitude and reluctance to work within the team were slowing operations at Dominion Creek.

After a direct conversation, the decision was made to let him go. It was an emotional moment for Tayvin, who insisted he had done his best, but the move reinforced Parker’s long-held belief that teamwork matters as much as skill when the stakes are this high.

Tyson Lee Turns to a Familiar Face

With a key role suddenly open, foreman Tyson Lee looked closer to home for a solution. He brought in his girlfriend, India Greenhalgh, to join Parker’s crew.

India was not entirely new to the environment. She had spent four years working behind the camera with the Gold Rush production team, experience that eventually led to her relationship with Tyson. Still, stepping into an operational role was a very different challenge.

Learning the Job Under Pressure

Thrown straight into the action, India began learning the ropes under Tyson’s supervision. When a hopper feeder jammed and stopped material flowing to the plant, Tyson walked her through the troubleshooting process before encouraging her to handle situations independently.

That independence was quickly tested. Later in the shift, Tyson received a text from India reading simply: “HELP!” He rushed to the site, fearing the worst, only to find that she had shut down Bob due to a jammed conveyor. Tyson admitted he would have liked more detail in the message, but praised her for making the right call by stopping the plant.

India summed up the moment with humour, saying she had just “broken her shutdown virginity.”

Gold Totals Show Steady Progress

At the weekly weigh-in, Parker’s team showed signs of recovery after a recent slowdown. Roxanne at Ken & Stuart’s delivered 150.40 ounces. Sluicifer and Big Red at Dominion Creek combined for 251.55 ounces. Bob at the Bridge Cut added 103.70 ounces, slightly down but still contributing.

While the numbers weren’t spectacular, they kept Parker moving toward his season goal. With more than $20 million already mined — the most he has ever generated in a single season — the operation remains firmly on track, even as every ounce now feels hard-earned.

A Small Change With Big Implications

India Greenhalgh’s arrival may seem like a minor personnel shift, but in a season defined by pressure and precision, every role matters. For Parker, it’s another example of adapting quickly to keep momentum alive. For Tyson and India, it marks a new chapter — one where personal and professional lines meet in the middle of the gold fields.
